A 3‑week, in-person interactive workshop series 7:00-8:15pm Thursdays, September 24, October 1 & 8.
With Steve Tumolo, PhD, SEP, Certified Trainer in Nonviolent Communication
What if being heard was healing?
We all need understanding, connection, and acceptance—especially when life is hard. Empathy responds to these deep needs. It is more than being nice or saying the right thing. It’s being compassionately present with ourselves and others in ways that foster safety, connection, and healing.
Empathy is an active listening skill that can be cultivated. Together, we can grow our capacities to be empathically present to ourselves and others.
This three-session experiential workshop series is a space to explore, give, and receive empathy.
Together, we will explore:
Offering ourselves empathy and compassion
Being empathically present to others
How connection and relationship can positively affect our nervous systems—and why empathy can be healing
September 24: Self-Empathy
October 1: Empathy with Others
October 8: The Healing Power of Empathy
All are welcome. There is no fee. However, all who participate will have a chance to contribute toward the cost of the workshop.
You are welcome to come to one or more sessions. Know, however, that the three sessions build on each other. Participating as much as you can will maximize the benefit.
There will be opportunities to grow your empathy skills through practice in between sessions.
